Homelessness can take many forms and includes
individuals and groups who live in hostels, bed
and breakfast accomodation, and people who
are staying with family or friends in a temporary
arrangement.

This research project draws from personal
accounts and experience. Facilitating educational
workshops with homeless people and conversations
with colleagues during seminars. Convened by
Professor AbdouMaliq Simone, Dr Miriam Fraser,
and Dr Brett Nielson, CSISP, Goldsmiths, University
of London, 2007.

It proposes how the re-appropriation of architectural
sites and charitable donations could generate learning
and skills zones. Allowing homeless people to work
with their peers to produce work and educational
initiatives that tackle homelessness and influence
service providers and policy development in UK cities.
